What Is Aerolase?

How many times have you tried to clear up your skin from acne, rosacea, melasma, and other conditions? How many serums, creams and acne medication have you tried with no success? Have you gone to medical spas for help with your concerns only to be left with redness, swelling, and pain from those treatments that showed minimal results? It’s now time to try a different treatment- Aerolase.

You may have seen Aerolase on The Today Show, Buzzfeed, YouTube, or Forbes for its groundbreaking technology. But do you really know what Aerolase is and does? No

Aerolase Technology

Aerolase is a laser treatment that has been making breakthroughs in laser technology for over 2 decades. Aerolase is an air-cooled medical aesthetic laser that is patented for its technology. This technology is designed and FDA approved to be a solution for multiple types of dermatological conditions.

Aerolase Lasers

The Aerolase laser technology has a 650- microsecond pulse duration. Simply put, this means that the pulses are so short (shorter than the thermal relaxation time of skin) that your skin can relax and cool in between the pulses. Compare this to other lasers that sting and burn during the treatment process.

The lasers penetrate both the epidermis and dermis (the deepest layer of the skin) to promote collagen growth, reduce sebum production, destroy acne causing bacteria, and suppress inflammation. It does this by targeting the melanin, hemoglobin and water in the tissues and layers of the skin.

Because the Aerolase lasers promote collagen growth in the skin, this can be a natural way to improve skin's elasticity, plumpness and reduction of fine lines and wrinkles compared to Botox injections or fillers. In our latest article “Botox vs. Dysport- what’s the difference?” we go into more detail about what these injections are used for and who should use them.

Aerolase NeoClear

One of the most popular treatments for the Aerolase lasers is the NeoClear. This treatment helps to eliminate stubborn acne conditions that may not have responded to other treatments or medications.

Aerolase NeoSkin

The other popular treatment for the Aerolase lasers is the NeoSkin. This treatment is focused on skin rejuvenation and tightening. This treatment addresses tone, texture, redness, pigmentation, elasticity and other unwanted skin issues.

Other Conditions that Aerolase can Treat

Aerolase can treat a variety of dermatological treatments and can treat them almost permanently if done properly.

The following conditions can be treated with Aerolase:

Angiomas

Blepharoplasty

Bruising

Cutaneous lesions

Decubitus ulcers

Melasma

Psoriasis

Warts

Scars

Rosacea

Aerolase lasers can also permanently remove hair and eliminate ingrown hairs as well as treat nail fungus and spider veins.

Benefits of Aerolase Treatments

When you receive the treatments there is no downtime and the treatments can be done in less than 30 minutes. The majority of patients who have this treatment experience no redness or swelling to the treatment areas. This means you can get clear, glowing skin during your lunch break!

How Many Treatments to See Results

Many see results after just one treatment but for the best results it is recommended to have between 4-6 depending on severity of skin conditions and goals you want to achieve. After the initial treatment process, patients come back for general skin maintenance and to keep their natural glow all year round. No

Who Can Use Aerolase?

Aerolase works for people of all ages, skin types and skin color. It is important to note that other laser technology will not work on darker skin tones which eliminates the chances of people with darker skin achieving the results and clear skin they have been wanting.
